Alison Blunt
Alison Blunt is Professor of Geography at Queen Mary University of London, Director of the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) London Arts and Humanities Partnership, founding co-director of the Centre for Studies of Home (a partnership between Queen Mary and the Museum of the Home) and Vice-President (Research) of the Royal Geographical Society (with Institute of British Geographers). Her research on home, migration and the city has been funded by AHRC, ESRC and The Leverhulme Trust. Her books include Home (with Robyn Dowling, 2006; second edition in preparation) and Domicile and diaspora: Anglo-Indian women and the spatial politics of home (2005). As Principal Investigator, Alison is leading the AHRC ‘Stay home’ project and has particular roles on the ‘Documenting Home’ and ‘Practising Home’ project strands.
