Yasmin has a background in studying religion, society and politics. She began a career working as a community organiser where she learnt the arts of professional campaigning on a number of social justice projects, such as safer roads, hate crimes and affordable housing. These campaigns have resulted in a number of successful policy changes in both local and national government. Her roles have also involved delivering leadership and development training internationally. She is now the lead for Community Cohesion at Tower Hamlet Homes and oversees a number of community projects and residents’ empowerment training.
